The work was centred on the results of our fieldwork. We took "The Painting of Life on Xiaoguwei Island" as an "event," and all the origins and contents come from the daily lives of different groups of people (university teachers and students, indigenous residents, visitors, and workers outside the island). We are like weavers, based on their dictated memories, feelings, and narratives, compiling the stories of all people and objects into a cloth of the relationships among different groups with images.
We chose to use the form of sound transmission by cup phones to explore and connect the relationship and connection between different groups. At this point, the mediums of people, objects, and scenes were not just geopolitically linked or separated by spaces with different attributes but wondrously linked as a whole, while real life once again unfolded by the scene and new content continues to emerge from it.
